Restaurant Speeza Hvar

Shared an intimate genuine Croatian 4 course meal here with friends. Hands down the best food we’ve had on our travels. We just basically asked the Chef to bring us food of his choice and it was all amazing. Everybody left feeling full and happy. The setting was a cozy and we felt almost invited into their home.

Definitely 5 stars! Super nice service and the food was spectacular! Very aesthetically prepared, Super delicious and lots of gluten and lactose free options. It is located outside the tourist hot spots in a nice and quiet area of Hvar.

**Highly recommended** I rarely do reviews for restaurants but I cannot emphasize enough what I wonderful restaurant Speeza is! I’ve been to 3 star Michelin restaurants, and this place more than aligns with those standards. We even enjoyed our experience so much, we went for dinner BOTH nights we were in Hvar! Some reasons we loved it... (1) food and drinks: absolutely delicious, and even very well and uniquely presented. The best wines of Croatia are offered. (2) location: perfect. It’s an incredible place and way to get away from the crowds in downtown Hvar while still having beautiful views. The setting is enhanced with feeing like you’re in a private home and with authentic touches nearby, such as one resident across the street cleaning their porch and another ironing their clothes. You really feel like you’re a local and able to see things you wouldn’t in the downtown area. (3) overall experience: personable and charming. The waiters are very friendly, the chefs prepare the food to your desires, and the ambiance is warm, bright, and “home-like”. We feel lucky to have found Speeza during our visit because it is new, thus not well-known yet, so we were able to enjoy our meals easily without a wait or need for reservation. BUT with time, exposure, and more visitors, the popularity will definitely increase, so I would recommend going now!! It’s a place whose success is inevitable. Get there “before it’s cool and popular” ;)

Went for breakfast before work and it was great. Lovely terrace, friendly and family service!

Would have liked some breakfast and went after 10, as it states here it's open. Imagine my surprise after finding out it isn't, even if the breakfast sign on the door says 10-13. Not fun climbing the hill back and forth very hungry AND very pregnant.
