Tried booking 4 sunbeds. I applied using the website. Mario told me they were full for that day. No problem, so Mario tell me what day you are free. Oh no I have to apply for each day separately on their web site. Actually Mario I am not interested anymore.

It' seems to have gone completely down market. Used to be a fabulous place for folks who like a bit of privacy, to spend the entire day ocean-side with a couple of sofa beds, parasol and tableside service for food and drinks. Like others who mentioned on here, in the past one could turn up and secure a place. When we did this recently we were told only a few places for public and is now exclusively for Elizabeth Palace Hotel guests, yet they are selling bookings on the website but when you book a date you receive an email rejecting your booking from some elusive character called Mario. We still managed to secure a booking, the table side service was fantastic (from the female assistant) and the food was really good but we seemed to be one of the few actually spending on wine/drinks and food. We tried to hire a cabana was told 'all sold out' yet they sat empty the entire time we were there. I don't know what has happened, the people in the beach club seemed to be there just to fill up the space. It's lost all of its appeal. We tried hula hula beach club for the first time and found it much better.

Unfortunately this has declined since they renamed it. Not much choice of food and the atmosphere is dead because it's filled with people who got it as part of a hotel deal.

The place is beautiful but the staff, except a young women, is incompetent, unfriendly, and non polite. You are waiting one hour for everything, they always forget something, very far from a luxury experience. Whey over rated because of the staff.
