Wow, did we strike gold in the Castle Stambuk apartments. It was clean with a beautiful terrace offering a view of the sea where we spent evenings enjoying the local wines and watching the boat traffic come and go.  The apartment was bright and nicely equipped giving us the option of staying in and cooking or going out to the local restaurants.  So breakfast on the terrace and out for our big meals was our norm. The room was spacious, the smart TV allowed us to stream shows and the hosts were great. We loved this place to the point we added a number of days just so we could enjoy Hvar and this apartment. We do plan to come back and rent this very same apartment in the future.  The few cautions I'll mention is there are stairs to get up to the apartment and the shower is a typical European shower with no bathtub and not comfortable for large people.  It's about a 10 minute walk to the ferry port but there is a route without city stairs if you have heavy luggage.  However yes, you'll still have to do the stairs at the apartment. There are several apartments and rooms to choose from at Castle Stambuk but I can't offer information on those other units.
