I took a pair of leather ankle boots, which I have been wearing for a couple of years, to the carpenter Lepen solely because of the good recommendations and reviews I read, and I really like them because of the quality, comfort and softness of the skin. The toes (cap) had 5 mm damage in the form of a lightly peeled surface layer of varnish and the carpenter said he could repair it by lightly painting that part of the boot. We also agreed on a price that was not very cheap (360 kn) but I respect other people's work and time and I believed that the damage would be repaired, so I agreed to the price without any discussion. Upon arrival to get the finished boots, the carpenter Lepen quickly wanted to show me that it was made and put the boots in the bag. When I looked at them a little better in front of him, I found new damage in a completely different place, 3 cm in size, badly painted, rough, visible. The boots are unevenly painted and unfortunately in a much worse condition than originally brought. I made it clear that I wasn’t happy at all, that they had after repair the damage that wasn’t there when I brought them, only to then listen to how the guy who did it was to blame, that it was handmade, that it couldn’t get any better. The new damage to the varnish could not explain how it came about. Trying to convince yourself that it is not seen strongly and that it is well done offends intelligence at the very least. He wanted to reduce the price by 50% (to end it that way, I quote) which I said was a lot considering the poorly done job and the destruction of a pair of shoes. I paid because I didn’t want to stretch anymore and darkness fell on my eyes when I saw the boots. I didn’t get the bill (and that’s the case to report) as well as at least any attempt at an apology. Anyone who works can make a mistake, but then it is human to communicate that way and not try to make someone a fool. They certainly won't see me there again. So be careful with them! You won’t get a guarantee, not even an apology for a mistake and will duly charge for a bad job.

Reading the great reviews I believed the shoemaker Lepen was a miracle worker. I left the sneakers to shorten by 1 cm and change the part above the heel. After a long wait, the sneakers were shortened by 0.6 cm, and the part above the heel "could not be repaired". After explaining that nothing had been done that I was looking for the shoemaker told me he would shorten them another 0.3cm to come on Friday for them. I come on Friday by appointment, but the sneakers aren’t done. I soon got a call that they were shortened and now they are shortened as needed, but the part that needed to be changed was made awkwardly, I think I'd better stick a piece of cloth glued over .. Neither the color nor the material match the sneakers. I honestly expected much much more ..

Truly top service and quality shoe repair, with the shoemaker Lepen there is no chance that you will not go wrong. I personally had a big grip on brand new black patent leather boots that reach all the way to half of the thighs, the boots had a number of problems. They were one size smaller than the one I normally wear and were very tight, I literally couldn’t pull the cif and fasten them, especially around the thighs where I literally had to add 15cm of skin in width to fasten them. Shoemaker Lepen tore it apart, I was very skeptical and had already written off boots that were as expensive as hell, however he managed to disassemble the boots, add pieces of patent leather in between, sew them up again and spread them out one more. At the same time, the boots look as if no procedure was performed on them. I was shocked when I saw the result! Kudos to Mr. Lepen, he is truly a member of the old school of crafts. Thanks again! :)

The worn-out shoes made of brushed leather, which one shoemaker destroyed even more, were put in order by a nice shoemaker, a very accommodating shoemaker and a very cheerful person.

Very professional work, communication. I am very pleased with the quality of the repair and the speed, especially since I mailed the shoes. I will definitely do the same if I need repairs.
