Zagreb Observatory

I would personally recommend everyone to visit this place! It is working weekdays 20-22 and you can see planets with a big telescope. I've had the luck to see Saturn and it's rings (made out of ice dust) and the surface of Moon 😍 It is a great place for all ages, you can learn a lot from the very experienced and very friendly personnel :)

Excellent views! Free! Friendly folks! Check their hours and go on a clear night. So glad I got a chance to check this out before leaving Zagreb, it was a really cool experience!

It was ok. I expected more I must admit. The telescope was a bit small, I expected it would be bigger, it's ok for viewing the moon but not much else. If you love astronomy you would maybe like to see different star clusters (which look like every star when you look at the sky), but if you don't know much about them just take a look at the sky at night and you'll get a better look at the stars than in the observatory 😁 But the staff was helpful and friendly and you get a BEAUTIFUL view of Zagreb and Zagreb Cathedral at night 🙂 It's ok to visit once. If it's a clear sky it can get a bit crowded since schools also use it for their students.

Nice view of Zagreb on the top. The staff there were extremely nice and allowed us to take a couple of pictures at the top. The observatory is open to the public from Tuesday to Friday from 8pm. Admission is free.

Cannot recommend enough. The people who work there are super nice. Don't be an idiot like me though, if the sky was cloudy, you can't see any stars xD
