In literal translation called "Interrupted childhood" this monument is a sad reminder of the tragic lost of many children lives during the 90s war in Croatia, killed by the Serb military and paramilitary forces. Many of these innocent victims were killed during the Serb and predominantly Serb ex Yugoslavian national army heavy bombardments of the city of Slavonki Brod.

The beautiful monument within the park is a tribute to the children who died in the war.

A more adventurous playground for children than usual. There are plenty of benches to sit on. The only playground suitable for night play as it is quite lit.

In memory of 402 boys and girls whose lives were lost in the Homeland War throughout Croatia, and for whom no one was yet to respond, on May 21, 2016, Slavonian Brod was officially celebrated as a memorial feature of "Discontinued Childhood", the work of Petar Dolić and Petar Tončić Lipovščak. It is a monument that, through the motif of puzzle (puzzles) where two are missing, symbolizes unfinished life jigsaw puzzles, unsettled youth. The youngest victim was six months old, the oldest 18 years old.
