Karlić truffles - GIR Ltd.

EDIT: I've been contacted by their stuff (Kristina) who has expressed profound apologies for my unlucky order. And offered a special box custom made to me, with different truffle products (cheeses/dry sausage/creams/butter) plus almost 100gr of black winter truffle fresh, very positively smelly, 3 huge stones of 50+30+15gr, absolutely astonishing. We have bought on their website, 3 packs of different truffles: Black winter Black summer White Both black qualities had a strange taste from the very beginning. Once sliced (with proper truffle slicer), the smell wasn't the classic one, and there was not a single vein visible inside... The color was totally EVEN AND UNIFORM. The white truffle was a little bit better, but just a little. Very light smell (this time the classic truffle smell), but again not a single vein visible inside. That's why I'm giving 1 star... Otherwise the evaluation would have been ZERO stars. 150gr of truffle, completely wasted. Never again

We visited in November as part of a two week trip around Europe, and this was easily one of the most memorable highlights. It was off-season, so we ended up have the tasting and truffle hunt to just the two of us. Both were amazing. All of the foods in the tasting were delicious, but the truffle scrambled eggs in particular was hands-down one of the best things I have ever eaten. The hosts were also welcoming and wonderful. And the truffle hunt was so fun and unlike anything I've ever done. The dogs are so smart and impressive. Can't recommend enough!

We didn’t get to do a truffle hunting tour unfortunately because we didn’t have time, but this is a must see stop if you’re driving through Istria. Taste some truffles with truly professional staff, and meet the cute pups who find the truffles! We walked out with so many amazing truffle products. YUM

We spent wonderful afternoon at Karlić tartufi. We did truffle hunting and we really enjoyed it! We could learn a lot about the truffles and eat delicious food prepared on our eyes! Hosts are extremely friendly and helpful! Definitely a place to visit!
