It is not a representative facility and it will not be a pity when it closes by entering Schengen. In the 1990s, the amount of traffic significantly exceeded its size, it was one of the busiest if not the busiest border crossing with Hungary. The whole of Slavonia gravitated to Slatina and part of Bosnia, the columns were 10 km away, to the exit from the city, while Parisians, whipped cream, hot dogs and Coca Cola were incomparably cheaper than our prices. While the Dravaszabolcs border crossing has always been larger, and further expanded and modernized by Hungary's entry into Schengen, nothing has been invested in it since the time of the former Yugoslavia, even when there were good reasons for doing so. Now both passenger and freight traffic is scarce, trucks are fewer, and buses are almost non-existent. Since joining the EU, there are no more containers with freight forwarders, bank branches, 2 restaurants ... The border police have moved out of the building of the former watchtower. Going to Hungary with the opening of shopping centers in the Republic of Croatia has significantly decreased. Otherwise, there is no crowd at the crossing, mostly a few cars waiting for the crossing. By completing Corridor Vc it will further lose on the importance of international transit.
