Konoba Astarea

We had a beautiful lunch in the quiet shadowy courtyard of this great restaurant. Started with Istarski pršut, then Gulaš with fuži (local homemade pasta) and after that fantastic Fiorentina steak, just below medium rare... All this, with refreshing, local Malvasia wine. At the end, Apple strudel baked under the bell - peka! And finally we had great ice cold local brandies “on the house”. Waitress was truly polite and friendly and so was the Chef! Price was more than fair for such a lunch. Surely we will come again!

Great and quiet place, the host is awesome. And the food was formidable. Beef was formidable and the vegetables also. Recommending to everyone!

Fish or meat. Both excellent. Kindest owner. Open fire. Steaks from local grass fed cattle. Domestic salamis, lardo, cheese....wild fish. Underpriced

Beautiful place,spectacular food&drinks..

Excellent shrimp risotto and scallops. The owner comes to your table to discuss the meal and makes recommendations. The food is authentic, the service super friendly. We visited Astarea many times and watched the sunset from the terrace while enjoying the meal. Highly recommendable during truffle season.
