Hodošan Primary School, Hodošan, Braće Radića 2 / A, 40 320 Donji Kraljevec, founded in 1858, the last building built in 1982. Although education in this area existed before, as the year of the beginning of organized public education in this area, we will conditionally take 1833. The first "solid" school building was built in Sveti Juraj in Trnje in 1833 with the funds of the inhabitants of Sveti Juraj in Trnje, Donji Pustakovac, Palinovac, Donji Hrašćan and Hodošan. The first confirmed organizer of education in this area is the parish priest Stjepan Hauser, who in 1841 founded branch schools in Čehovac, Hodošan and Palinovac. In the then "parent" school in Sveti Juraj in Trnje and all branches, private teachers and local notaries teach children of both sexes in Croatian and Hungarian, Christian science, literature and arithmetic from prescribed books. Supervision was exercised by the pastor who took care of the schools, visited them frequently, examined them and taught religious instruction. He gave books, especially to the poor, for free. In 1858, a new school was built in Hodošan (the year the independent Hodošan Elementary School was founded). The wave of Hungarianization was especially highlighted during the celebration of the millennial existence of Hungary in 1900. The vow of 1,000 new schools was especially fulfilled in the non-Hungarian provinces. In 1903, a functional and interesting, in terms of external architectural features, new school building was built in Hodošan. Classes were held from 1903 to 1918 in I. and II. class in the Croatian language, and in III. and IV. class in Hungarian. In this building from 1903, classes were held until 1982, when the existing building of the Hodošan Home School was built. In 2018, 184 students from Hodošan, Donji Hrašćan, Donji Pustakovac, Palinovac and Sveti Juraj in Trnje will attend the primary school. Elementary school Hodošan, in addition to the Primary School, also includes the Regional School Palinovec (21 students) and the Regional School Sveti Juraj in Trnje (14 students) - a total of 219 students. Approximately that number of students have been attending school for the last 12 years.
