School history: The Ivankov school was started in 1764, and the first Ivankov teacher was Josephus Molyi (Joseph Moll). During his service, 31 students attended the school and were taught by a German teacher. The biggest problem was the school space, and classes were held in an old, dilapidated and low private home. Later on, teaching positions were occupied by local sons, and Nikola Iščić, who served until 1787, stands out as the first domestic teacher. After that year, the school was discontinued and the school has not been in operation for 42 years. Preparations for the reopening of the school began only in 1825. The school was founded and officially opened on November 1, 1830, when a significant turn in the school field began. New schools welcomed all children, not just the children of wealthier parents. The first Ivankov teacher was Josip Minjanovic, a native of Vukovar. One of the teachers devoted to the people and his daily needs was the fraternity patriot Julia Batory, who began to write and regularly manage the school memorial. Since 1878, a single-grade boys 'and girls' classrooms have been merged into a two-tier two-sided classroom with one teacher who was also the headmaster and one teacher. Ivankovac's classroom is a well-established member of the Croatian Pedagogical Council in Zagreb. The general public school (classroom) in Ivankovo kept the School Flaws Book and the Decoration Book. The Book of Decorations was written by the students with the best results, and in the School Flaws book their remarks and findings were recorded by the district and royal school superintendents. It was not until 1961 that the school was called the August Cesarec Primary School, and since then it had 10 classrooms and 734 students. 1962-63. the school was hit by an earthquake, which made it inappropriate for teaching, and it began raising funds for the construction of a new school. Landmark changes both in the Republic of Croatia and in the school itself occurred in 1989/90. In 1998 the school was renovated and during 2000/2001. new interventions were carried out. The school has 13 classrooms, 6 practicums and a gym, as well as a library and reading room. Over the coming years, the school equipped itself with teaching aids, depending on financial resources.
