I just found a fine of 100kunas,with the parking ticket covering the period visible in the dashboard. Also overpaid (because you can't add time if you decide to spend more time). Absurd! Shocked! I will see tomorrow how the contesting works here. Edit: the address on the fine is wrong. The parking booth is in fact behind the tourist info center. A tall skinny guy took both the fine and the parking ticket and said there is no problem, and he will cancel it. Surprised how fast it went.

Basically good parking. 8 kuna per hour. Cons: you can ONLY pay with change and nobody, really nobody in the whole city wants to change. We were lucky that two young men at a farmers' market were so nice and changed us
