Fantastic experience, deeply recommended!

The best place nearby, not so much in the seaside rush, but a bit off the beaten track. I don't suppose anyone stops here by accident, Puticanje is not a memorable village, but this restaurant is remarkable! We keep comig back every time we set seil on the middle Adriatic and our base port is close. Better have a reservation in advance, not because of the crowds, but because they make you whatever you wish for. In particular "pod pekom"- a dish of octopus is just as good as it ever gets! They cook it for hours under a cast iron dome, covered with glowing ember.. mmm it is the best thing you will ever have eaten! The decor is retro so to say, and also authentic Croatian, with family photos. Th business is run by father and son, and they are bth great hosts. The experience is not restaurant-like. You call or email first, telling what you would like to eat, and when you will arrive, and then they greet you with a familiar smile and appetizers. Wine and ice cold water come with the dinner, and the prices are fair! We have never asked for a menu, I don't even know if they have one, but we for the full dinner (with drinks) we paid what we would have for one meal on the shore.
