Franciscan Monastery

Recently renovated and stunning location!

Amazing place; a real chance find. We took an island boat tour, and on a whim when into the monastery, so glad we did. It’s got beautiful gardens, lots of quiet seating areas, free water dispensers and some very comfortable sofas on the highest tower, with fantastic views.

Absolutely beautiful. All the staff are lovely and helpful and the views are fascinating. I would highly recommend going here if you find yourself in the area

beautifully restored, very tranquil. you could sit here and contemplate all day. Plenty of comfy chairs and places to rest or even sleep, more like day beds. Don't miss.

Tranquility and beauty. What a fantastically restored and presented Monastery with really informative and passionate staff, I left feeling like I had been rebooted ,refreshed and at one with everything. The gardens are wonderful to lie down and meditate in and let all the stress just melt away. I would love to return one day.
