Snack bar Rio

The name Snack Bar Rio is somewhat deceptive, considering that it's probably the best restaurant in the harbour (along with Kantinon Tavern). They have just a handful of tables by the water, and a small but thoughtful menu. Our waiter's food and wine recommendations were spot on - the tuna tagliata was especially was memorable and the presentation had a touch of fine dining. Same owners at Puntulina and Giannino.

We got to visit this restaurant just as a storm came through, which made it even more special. Something magical about watching a storm while safely tucked away inside dining. Food is exceptional and we're sorry we didn't try this restaurant earlier in our stay. The lamb was the best I've had in Croatia and the pasta freshly made, and for once we both had desserts! Fabulous wine list and you must try the exclusive sparkling 'Summer Brut' Excellent quality food, this restaurant gets the same stunning sunsets, just slightly back from the sea, overlooking the harbour. Outside dining is available on the water. Service is impeccable and full of personality. This restaurant is a sister restaurant to La Puntulina and Giannino Restaurant.

Nice food. Relatively inexpensive. Good view. Fast service. Like it. PS: and they have breakfast up until noon!

We sat there because they had an empty table. We were super surprised of how good the food is (Especially compared to some other restaurants in Rovinj). Tuna tartar and pljukanci with seafood are excellent. The service also. The waitress on the terrace was very nice and gave as good recommendation of what to eat. The prices are reasonable to what they offer. I hope to come again.

Went there for a lunch. We were two but waiter did not want to give us bigger table altough there was only one guest and no one waiting outside. Food was okay (‘pljukanci’ and lamb chops) although nothing special. Overall, waiter needs some better manners in order to give it at least a star more.
