Hearing the word "Salona", the first thing that comes to mind is the Roman Empire. It always seemed to us that the ancient Salona of which you have certainly heard in high school are the areas of today's Italy. Only a year ago, quite by accident, we learned about the town of Solin, located about 8 km. from Split, which was once called Salona and was just the Salona we learned in history lessons. We decided to visit this place and feel the ancient atmosphere for a while. Although little has remained of such a large city, until the fall of which our ancestors Slavs contributed, the place is really worth a visit during the holiday stay. What we encourage you to do.
