Extraordinary example of a small museum depicting the local community living through history using traditional boat construction. The interactive setting is attractive to both adults and children ... even teenagers which are by default the most difficult audience to reach. The side activities (occasional workshops on various topics) as well as the real (functional) boats as exhibits in the port in front of the museum are also the testimony of the museum interaction with the local community, which is the key element defining this museum as a communication centre/entity. Nb. The entrance ticket is the best example of the museum spirit, inventiveness and originality. Congratulations to the design team and the current staff for keeping the ball rolling! Museum is a must to visit if one is in the areas between Zadar and Šibenik.

Exceptional museum. An absolute MUST if in Betina

Really unique, the guide told us that some of the things in the exhibition came from actual fishermen and boatbuilders of the town. Most of the facts have been gathered in interviews with the towns locals. Much interactive content. Would recommend if youre into that stuff.
