Great spot for the extended family vacation. House has a historical value and it is situated right next to Cetina River and couple of minutes from the sea beach. Interior is nicely decorated. Shops, restaurants, taverna, bars, everything is a minute walk from the house. Highly recommended.

What a great time we had in Omis! We were in a total of 6 people, among those 2 were teens - there were always activities to keep them very happily busy, making us parents and grandmothers also VERY happy :-) The master bedroom with big windows is sun flooded and decorated with white furnitures, it’s spacious, lots of closet space and has a beautiful view of the charming cobblestone alleys with quaint adorable houses, sweet outdoor cafes, typical tavernas, restaurants, bars and little stores. The other bedrooms are endearing, with views onto the Cetina River and the Starigrad Fortress. The Croatian Beach House was everything we expected. A gorgeous historic building, clean and comfortable. The kitchen/dinning room door opens onto a little pedestrian only square surrounded by small stores and the most friendly restaurant with outdoor seating. The house is only a few minutes walk along the river or thru town to the stunning beach with the clearest water, great for snorkeling. The sandy beach has beds and umbrellas lined up, there are cute beach cafes and a huge play air castle floating on the water to jump and climb on. Omis’s harbor is flanked by natural stone walls. This used to be the center of pirate activity, and there are remnants of watchtowers built high on the rocks where townspeople would watch for incoming pirates. Everyday we walked through the old town, enjoyed the restaurants, shopped on the local market, 2 minutes away from the house, where we bought Lavender honey, flowers, local cheese and fruits. Stepping out of the house is the Cetina River, where we got a slow motor boat through the river gorges. Lovely scenery, very quiet, and clear water. Quietly motored upstream for about 45 minutes, surrounded by the astonishing nature and riverbanks, then stopped at the famous restaurant Romanove Mlinice for a lunch or dinner. There are many different water sports and activities one can do, we did extreme canyoning which was great fun! Omis’s locals are welcoming, helpful and very friendly. We will return!
