Bistro Andrija

Perfect night at Bistro Andrija! We had a sea bass and St Peter for a fish choice, it was so fresh and perfect prepared. Lovely host Andrija and his hole family who are running the bistro. Interior is very beautiful with a sea view, you have to go if you are in Saint Filip&Jakov!

We were always eating like the recommendation of the very nice owner Andrija, we eat fresh fish and fresh shrimps with a bottle of white wine as recommended. It was very tasty and well prepared. They bring you to see and choose which fish you want and you can see it grilled on the outside grill. He also cleaned up the fish in front of you so you get minimum bones. It was too good to take photos We enjoy it

We ended up there as a result of the positive reviews posted on Google. The restaurant seems clean and neat, however in our experience it didn’t take long for things to start going abruptly bad. We ordered a tomato soup and the waiter brought a different one, taking it chill we didn’t make a fuzz about it. When he brought the soup that we ordered, it was cold and the rice grains it had in were raw - they needed to be cooked more. In addition to this, there was also hair on the plate. (They didn’t charge us for it and proposed to bring a new one). The beers we were not full, they were a little bit more than just half. The lemonades didn’t taste like anything but rotten lemons. The homemade tagliatelle with shrimps had a bad and non fresh taste. The sauce it had, didn’t really taste like anything - it was just bitter. When we pointed out these things to the manager, he was so understanding and kind. He offered us shots on the house as an apology. Which one of them came in a glass that had a remain of what seemed to be like a scouring pad. Regardless of all, the fried calamari plate and white fish was acceptably tasty. The staff didn’t really seem they enjoyed their work, and this reflected on the service we were given. It’s a place with a potential, but needs much more improvement. Hence there are many other nice places in this town, this place isn’t really worth your money.

Terrible experience! Not worth the price. - Starting with the beer that the glass was half empty when they served it. - Service below average and waiters not friendly. - The lemonade was bitter and not fresh. - We ordered a tomato soup and they first brought a wrong one. Later they brought the soup with the raw rice inside and a HAIR on the plate. - The "homemade" tagliatelle was a total disaster and shrimps not fresh at all that we couldn't even finish it. They tried to compensate us with some drinks but even one of the glasses was dirty. After all the waiter started acting a bit rude and we just wanted to leave. I totally felt that I didn't want to pay anything for such a horrible experience.

Been there 2 times, first time was excellent, food was nice, not to expensive considering it is on the beach, and i would give 5 stars if it wouldn't be for thr second visit. Few days after we went there again and it was disappointing, just for one reason, waiter brought really expensive water (35kn for 0,7l) after we asked just glass of water, which we got first time. I found it really rude, he should warn us about pricing, 1l of beer cost cheaper there.
