Great place, wild nature and waterfalls all combine with people and wooden houses. Food is great and rooms for sleep.

A uniquely beautiful place, like something out of fantasy novels. The menu is very small but authentic and high-quality. This time we passed by on our way to the seaside, but we'll be back for a whole day retreat.

I visited on a weekend with my family. It was pretty small but the view was beautiful. We sat by the water and enjoyed the coolness of it while checking the different guidance points. Entrance fee is 40kn per adult but family tickets are available as well as student discounts.

Certainly well worth a stop to see these lovely gardens and waterfalls. We were there first thing and had it to ourselves. We walked to all points of the gardens, enjoying the wooden bridges and the views and climbed the steep steps to see the waterfall by the river. The houses are very pretty too.
