Good food. Bad service! We basically had to ask for everything ourselves and the restaurant wasn’t even very busy since it’s the end of season. Our wine glasses stayed empty after we finished them before the pre course - no offer or question about „another glass of wine“?! Sorry but that’s the absolute basic a waiter should offer. In the end we criticized the service - that was simply ignored and undermined by arrogance. They didn’t even try to make us happier. That leaves us with no other option than giving the restaurant one poor star even though it’s beautifully situated and their food is fairly good.

Cozy, hidden away up from the port of Volosko and all the better for it. Not touristy. Very good seafood with modern twists on Croatian and Istrian classics. Well worth a visit.

A nice cozy konoba (Croatian seaside restaurant) featuring consistently excellent food and service. It's situated in a peaceful small alley close to the sea, but away from the bustle of Opatija center, with an interior that retains the classic konoba decoration. I visited them several times over the past several years and they never disappointed. The menu features sea food classics such as tuna steak, octopus salad, brodetto, and such. Preparation style is a fusion of traditional preparation based on minimalism and high-quality ingredients, as in their barely processed kali tuna steak, and of modern influences that is unafraid of Asian spices, as in their deliciously spicy prawn soup. The menu is not overly large and appears thoughtfully selected. Although fish dishes are the obvious highlight of Tramerka, meat lovers and vegetarians will also find something for themselves. The prices are not low, but given the quality of the food and the overall experience, as well as the attractive location, they are fair. I'm sure everyone that frequents seaside fish restaurants has occasionally paid much more for much lower quality than offered here.
