An amazing villa at Brac Island. It has a very nice view from the balcony of the apartment and also there is a nice pool at the villa. It's approximately 10 minutes by walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the nearest market. The communication with the hotel was great and we enjoyed our stay there.

I will make a list with the aim of giving some useful information for tourists who are considering VILLA LARA apartments. -CHECK-IN: You arrive and find no-one. After writing an email/phone, a guy from an external agency shows up with a POS machine in his hands, asking to pay for the whole period (in our case two weeks) in advance. He shows you the apartment and then he disappears again (but he will be there on whatsapp in case). -EXTERIORS: It is a concrete-made cube with absolutely no shared spaces, with the exception of the (small) swimming pool area which however closes at 7pm. -TERRACES: Ground floor terraces are very very small (especially the first ones) and if you are lucky enough you get a heavy smoker next to you so that you cannot use the terrace anymore. 1st and 2nd floor apartments have small terraces (very close to each other, no privacy) but with a very nice view on the sea. -POOL: It was dirty the first days (mid August) and it got worse in the days after, to the point that it was just too dirty to use it. Then it got clean again and then dirty again… with a clean-dirty cycle of 3-4 days. But in any case, the pool closes at 7 pm, exactly when it would be needed for an after-beach chill-out. A lady arrives and kick you out of the area at 7pm sharp when the sun is still high in the sky. So the pool is essentially useless, unless you decide to spend there your whole day, instead of going to the (very beautiful) beaches. -INTERIORS: Bedroom has two single beds next to each other. The coach-bed in the living room is not comfortable and they don’t provide adapted sheets for it. The kitchen is well equipped but it has only one fire and a microwave oven so, for example it is not possible to cook pasta and its sauce at the same time. The small fridge is noisy and heats up the ambient quite a lot. There are a lot of ants (after request they provided an anti-ant spray). -WI-FI: It is OFF very often. When it works it is ok, but most of the times it is not working. During the day you may write to the guy and after a while it will work again, but in the evening/night you just get no connection. -CLEANING and SERVICES: There’s no cleaning in the apartment. Every 3 days they change the towels but they change the big ones only once a week. We have asked them to bring us toilet paper but they replied to go and buy it (the apartment costed 80 EUR/day for 2 weeks). No trash-bins next to the house. No-one tells you how you are supposed to deal with the garbage, you have to ask. No supermarket close-by. To buy anything you either take the car or you walk down (and then up) to the village on a steep path, which is quite uncomfortable especially if you have to carry water and similars. -ACCESS TO THE BEACHES/VILLAGE: The house is one of the highest in the whole Bol. Beyond the house there are just mountains. You get to the village walking downhill for about 10 mins. Few beaches are reachable in 20-25 mins (but then you have to come back up-hill). Otherwise you take the car. -OVERALL: “Potentially” (changing the pool rules, keeping the pool cleaner, contemplating some common space...) it could be an ok place, although quite far from the sea and village center, but as It stands, it is just not worth the climbing, to have a useless semi-dirty pool and cube-flats to live in. The fact that there is an external agency taking “care” of the guests results in a quite disappointing rigidity and clear un-interest in customer satisfaction. We were 3 families (10 people) and we booked in March for 15 days asking them to give us one of the three apartments with a big terrace to dine together. They gave us the SMALLEST ground-floor terrace and put few-days-guests in the big ones, several times they could have displaced us in an apartment with a bigger terrace but always put there new guests for a couple of days and left us in the smallest one for the whole 15 days. This isn't the way to deal with long-term customers. I do not recommend this place.

Far away from breakfast area. Bad beds. Nice view though.

Good apartment, it's not close to the beach of zlatini rat, if you don't want to walk 20 minute or more, you have to use the car. You can use the reserved parking for the house and free parking for the beach. The little swimming pool useful but non necessary.
