we booked a day trip from split to plitvice lakes. we were picked up by our driver just outside of our accommodation and expected a mini van but were pleasantly surprised to have a private car instead. our driver branimir was fantastic and entertained us the whole trip. he took very good care of us. once you get to the park he grabbed the tickets for us and took us down to the entry which saved a lot of time as the queue to purchase tickets was massive. we had about 3 and a bit hours to explore the park which wasn't enough for the walk we wanted to do but it was extremely busy that day so we were moving slowly. it was a long day but very comfortable.
