In 1918, most of the castle was set on fire and blown up by peasants and miners, and it may be that they were members of the so-called. Green frame. Until that unfortunate moment, the castle was a treasure trove of priceless treasures. Thus, the Office for Treasures and Mysteries states:
"Various noble families collected it (treasure, op. Cit.) For centuries. The manor was founded in 1610 by the nobleman Bot de Bajna, after whom the entire estate was named Bajnski dvori. The family that gave Croatia two bans over the years managed the court and its surroundings. tenure later, his widow managed to sell the estate to Ivan Nepomuk, Count Erdődy and his wife, Countess Theresa Raczysky, when he took part in the Hungarian Revolution. At that moment, a new era of the Bajnski dvori began because the Erdődy couple chose it as a place to become a treasury of heritage, namely Ivan Erdődy was the last hereditary great prefect of Varaždin, an honor bestowed on him for his family merits in the fight against the Turks. On the other hand, Countess Terezija Raczysky sold her estates in 1887 to the then in Poland. All the works of art from all the estates were delivered to the Bajnski dvor, which soon became a museum with great artistic treasures. There were also world-renowned works of art there, such as the works of Anthonis van Dyyk, Rubens, Rembrandt and Murril. The court chambers were full of books, marble, silver and bronze artwork, and the mahogany and ebony display cases housed the precious Alt Wien porcelain. Countess Theresa Raczysky was engaged in painting and was a good connoisseur of art. In nearby Vinica, she built a school for female children and a foundation to maintain the school building. For years, she donated clothes and shoes to poor children, so she was remembered by the people as a benefactor and a noble woman. van Erdődy died in 1879, and Teresa in 1909. The estate was inherited by her nephew, Samuel Feštetić from Tolna, an arrogant and very unpopular man. In November 1918, in the turbulent days of the disintegration of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, peasants and miners broke into the castle, got drunk and destroyed it with dynamite. None of the treasures survived that day when the muses cried. "
Finjak for a walk ....
The Baroque Castle is a former castle located in the village of Gornje Ladanje in the municipality of Vinica. Former manor house was founded in 1610 by the nobleman Bot de Bajna, which was named after it in the Barns. Later on, the entire estate was owned by Batthyány, Erdődy and Feštetić family members. Along with the castle there was a garden with landscape features, as well as a lake and courtyard chapel, which today make up a valuable complex of monuments of architecture and park architecture.
It looks interesting. It is not visible from the road, so it is necessary to go a little and wander the yard. It must have been an oasis of peace and tranquility. It's closed and can not be in there. I guess there's nothing to see in there.
Slightly abandoned buildings, once beautiful estates
