Great presentations and we got a detailed tour of the observatory. Would recommend

Amazing place, great for kids, with a great introduction given by the guide - we could even hold a piece of a meteor. Only thing to keep in mind is that the location is not on visnjan but 3km out of town, unlike what maps will tell you.

Observatory is open to the public on Thursdays from 9pm. (Weather permitted). Dream come true if like myself. You dreamed of going into a real observatory and see the telescope & have a tour. Speak to the scientists. Lovely grounds too. Ideal for astrophotography if that interests you!
