Very good olive oil from a nice local producer.

3 years ago a friend of mine gave me a bottle of olive oil with Oliveri sign on it. It was such an experience that I remembered it. 3 years later I was in Porec and came across the traffic sign Oliveri. Again, experience was top! Within 4 months spent here, my family and I bought and consumed 5 bottles of Coratina and Istarska bjelica (biancherra). Just to mention, we would have consumed even more, but we also used Ol Istria olive oil since it is a bit milder and our kids like it more (Coratina and Bjelica are very, very strong olive oil varieties). These hardworking people got last drop of perfection out of land and climate surrounding their own olive trees. Conditions they keep their olive oil in are near ideal, confirmed by many, many medals and diplomas from relevant international blind tasting. Keeping their production within highly managable limits, not looking for high quantity, but chasing ultimate quality. Take your time when near, you will enjoy different monovarietal olive oil, I believe 7 of them. Last thing they made is a 20 variety blend, Sangreal, and it alone is worth an hour of driving to get.

They have excellent oil and a thorough understanding of what makes oil good (supported by a myriad of well deserved prizes). Highly recommend their products which we learned about in the Pula museum of olive oil. Friendly owners!
