Great place to spend a day. As others have said, this may be the best national park in Europe. I visited during the pandemic slowdown. Normal times, it is extremely crowded in summer and early fall. 200 kn per person entry fees. If you are in Croatia, then it is a must do.
Wear good walking shoes. Need to be in good physical shape for walking, not necessarily need to be athletic. Lots of up and down steps. Narrow path for two way stream of visitors. Pick a dry day that is not too hot. Temperature here can be different than Split. Not for anyone with any mobility issues.
A must go when one finds himself in Croatia. Better off season and/or during times like these when one can enjoy the scenery. Entrance fee is a little steep, but the level of maintenance and services resemble a landscape park rather than a natural park so it's understandable.
Beautiful place. Views are breathtaking. 1 day is more than enough. Watch out the time, they are selling tickets only until 3pm. Worth it most beautiful place in Croatia apart from the cost.
If you love nature go here! This place is one of the most beautiful spots I've ever been to. The colour and clarity of the lakes is incredible and there are a ton of spots for great photos along the paths.
The national park itself is beautiful i highly recommend to visit it and take as long walk as you can. We made a mix of trail C and K and it was spectacular. However the staff is rude and not really helpful. Neither in the ticket office nor at the ship. I understand it is the high season and i was not waiting an american style smiling but they were really not kind. Also i don't understand that it is not possible to buy tickets for the next day at the ticket office. I think you loose revenue here. Also lot of people do not wear masks in closed spaces also employees not wearing it. Be prepared for the whole four seasons in one day and bring every kind of clothes. It is worth to go in the morning because you cannot make such beautiful photos because of the shadows in the afternoon. Of course depends on your aims. Anyway amazing park. Enjoy.
