Beautiful city centre.Karlovac is located only 45 kilometres from Zagreb, capital of Croatia,less than a half an hour driving car. The city, situated at the banks of four rivers was used to be called Karlstadt. Karlovac is recognised by its fortresses and many other historical sites. Its surrounding area is well known by exceptional nature beauties. Tourists and nature lovers will be astonished. Hotel & private accommodation is always available. The top destination is Plitvice Lakes National Park. You, also, can enjoy local home prepared food and drinks, spend time walking, climbing, cycling, swimming, fishing, sunbathing... or visiting museums, galleries, aquarium or more attractions. Karlovac is famous for its brewery; there's a festival of beer every year. 😊😎

There is still lot to do to improve the turistic offer of the city but the city has done already so much that it's indeed nice to spend a week walking around numerous parks, swimming in one of the four rivers, sipping excellent beer in ample of cosy cafes...
