Hostel Amfora

Really nice hostel very close to the beach, supermarket and Fazana center. Ivan the owner is really nice, friendly and ready to help with anything I needed. I would definitely recommend this place!

If you make a bit of noise after 10pm the neighbours immediately call the owner. The owner then gets very rude and yells at you for waking him up. So, if you stay here: go to the beach at night, because that's only a few minutes walk from the hostel. While I stayed here, a couple of showers where broke, you had to hold the shower head in your hands to use it. Every room has good airco. There is one main room for chilling.

~AGRESSIVE HOSTEL STAFF~ The hostel owner / manager seemed okay when I was checking in and out. When I checked out I asked if I could leave my backpack at reception until I come back later that day to leave Fazana. He said that's okay, but he won't be back until 4 or 5pm. That was all good with me. When I returned at 4:30pm I didn't see him on my way in, but that was okay because I needed to use the wifi in the common area to organise where I was going next. I come out at 6pm and he tells me he has been waiting for me since 4pm and he came back just for me, which was a lie because he had to return anyway at that time to open up reception for new check-ins. He also never made it clear that he didn't want me picking up my bag any later or that I shouldn't use the common area after check-out, both of his expectations are not customary for hostels. He was acting childish and unprofessional. As I left with my luggage, he followed me down the street, getting up in my face, swearing at me in Croatian and trying to provoke me to get into a physical fight. I remained calm, but I still felt super uncomfortable. I don't recommend this hostel to anyone!

Basic, cheap accommodations with a friendly, helpful host. Be warned it can be a bit hard to locate the entrance the first time.

It has a very good location and a friendly stuff. They care to make you feel good! Lounge is suitable for getting acquainted. You can park your car safely.
