In a very beautiful place in Budapest, in Ferenciek Square, there is a well, a statue worthy of better destiny .... unfortunately it has not worked for a long time and the square was and would be a nice sight!

The Nereid Fountain or the Nayad Fountain is a group of two statues of women with dolphins and shells on their pedestals. Ferenc Uhrl's work was erected in Ferenciek square in Pest in 1835. The pedestal was made by József Fessl and Lőrinc Dunaiszky. More than 60 years later, in 1899, it was transferred to Kőbánya, Liget tér. Here came the II. World War I, during which the sculptures on the pedestal were destroyed. Sculptor Dezső Győri re-patterned it from the remaining photos. The statue was carved out of limestone at the Art Sculpture Company's Stone Sculpture Factory and then restored to its original location in 1976. "This is the first fountain adorned with sculpture in the squares of the city of Pest," wrote the newspaper "The Artist" at the time.

Fountain of vomit and group of statues. Currently, the original location, but not the original statues. The statues that were destroyed during the war were re-carved in the second half of the 1970s. The work has already toured Kőbánya.

A lively place and a beautiful small square with a memorial near all the tourist services such as restaurants, markets and cafes ....

The first artistic public well of the city of Pest (1835). In 1899 it was moved to Liget Square in Köbánya. His sculptures in the II. they were destroyed in 1944 during World War II. In 1977, based on the surviving photos, Dezső Győri re-carved the sculptures, and the well was returned to its original location.
