Lóca vendéglő - Famous Hungarian Food & Wine

My wife and I lived in Budapest for about 3 years and I have been travelling and doing business in BP for 20 years. We are currently back here for vacation for 1 week ( after an absence of 6 years ) and we eagerly went to this restaurant as it was one of our favourites and it WAS very good value. Now, under new management..IT IS TERRIBLE...Watery & tasteless Goulash soup ( almost no meat ), very expensive ( for what you get ) and a tiny glass of wine ( for large glass prices ). We have subsequently tried other restaurants in BP and discovered that good food, prices, wine and value still exist. This one NOT RECOMMENDED

Food was nice but luckily I checked the bill as a wine was added that we doesn't have. May have been a genuine mistake but always best to check the receipt!

Excellent friendly restaurant, food tasty & plenty on plate...nice atmosphere..Hungarian style...

My friends and I went to this restaurant for having local food and we were delighted. The staff is super cool and friendly, the location is nice and the food was great ! I recommend that place for having traditional Hungarian food !

Great experience. Not sure what some of the complaints are all about below, but food and service were both fantastic.
