On our bike trip 2017 along the Tisza we also cycled through Rakamaz and wanted to turn here to Tokaj. Due to lack of signage we turned off too early and were then stopped by warning signs "Continue driving prohibited for cyclists". Here is our small travel report: At about 13.00 clock we cycled through the villages Balsa, Szabolcs, Timar to Rakamaz. By mistake we turned off too early on the E 38 in the direction of Tokaj, were honked by many drivers and discovered shortly before "Görbe Hid" the new railway track. With a quick decision, we hoisted our steel steeds over the barriers and cycled on to Tokaj. At 2:00 pm we were standing on the Tiszabrücke in Tokaj, looking at the confluence of Tisza and Bodrog. After a short sightseeing we discovered the bike sign "Euro Velo 11". (North Cape - Athens)
