Katica Guesthouse

Traditional Hungarian house. Very cool temperature inside despite the heat of the summer outside. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed.

We've spent a weekend here with the family. We rented the whole house, all three rooms. The lady who handed over the keys, was very helpful and showed us around. The rooms are quite big, all of them with private bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The only downside is that there's no insect net on the windows, so the mosquitos will come and go if you keep them open. The kitchen is fully equipped, there's even a dishwasher. There's a huge terrace with a roof where 6-7 people can sit around a table. The place has an outdoor barbeque that you can use. There's even a small wine cellar filled up with bottles of local wine for you. The wineries of the Tokaj region and the beautiful castles of the Zemplén are all within a short drive's distance. This place is perfect for a family or a group of friends even for a week or two.

If you want to feel the real rural life. Glamorous cottage with lovely hospitable service, oven-baked delicacies. Do you need more than that? I recommend it to anyone who wants to get out of the city squirrel wheel and crave for peace. With family or friends, a great choice.
