In the years following the Second World War, when all the castle's furnishings disappeared, the buildings were vacant for a while before the district offices moved. After their transfer to Ajka, the first conceived county training center was not realized. On the basis of new ideas, the decision was made to establish a social home. During the planning, it was proved that neither the main building nor the outbuildings were suitable for this purpose, and with the consent of the leaders of the historic authority at that time, a new building was erected in the northeast corner of the courtyard. This way he cut the castle from its park, and with it originally formed a unit. The city library is housed in the castle and still serves this function. The red-mud catastrophe did not cause any damage to the building, much more in the park of the castle, but by now it has been completely restored with a change of land.
