Wonderfully beautifully renovated, this is an unusual church.

House of God

The Mohács Votive Church is a nice big church (like a big jam) on Széchenyi Square, which is also a parking lot. It is considered a Catholic church. It is truly monumental, and inside it is beautifully spacious and solemn. We were here at the relatives' wedding and the baptism of my older daughter. It is close to the City Hall, the Government Window, the Youth Center, a children's playground and park behind it, and you can walk to the main street, the Busó courtyard, or just across the Danube to the main street. As far as I know, they are just renovating their dome and maybe getting a new bell.

The citizens of Mohács respect their own history. They also take care of it. It is worth visiting the city and it is worth to book several days.
