I would have asked for information on the phone, the "concierge" or who is receiving the incoming call put it down after about 45 seconds phone so I couldn't talk to any clerk. We are here in 2020 ... Shame ...

I went in for information. The clerk stated that if I sell a house e.g. If I buy another for 20 million and 10 million, then I have to pay a 4% tax on the difference, ie 10 million HUF, which is not negligible, 400 thousand HUF! When I got home, I found a few articles on the net that I don’t have to pay a fee to buy a cheaper house, so I called the NAV hotline, the clerk there explained that since it’s a negative fee, it doesn’t have to be paid. So at the face-to-face meeting, the one who worked there said a lot of bullshit, even though one would think he should be aware of the legislation! Why go in to ask for information if you can’t trust what they say and have to look it up from two other sources ?!
