Very nice museum, I recommend this place to visit if you going to Dombóvár!

If you are in Dombóvár, it is definitely a must-see venue, and permanent exhibitions give you a comprehensive view of the past / heroic times of the city. The temporary exhibitions are also diverse. It was a pleasant experience.

The small castle that houses the museum was built in 1896 as a chief judge's apartment. After 1945, it was a club for the armed forces, an officer’s apartment, and then a school. In 2000, the Municipality of the City of Dombóvár made it available to the self-active community of the Dombóvár City Beautification and City Protection Association to organize a local history collection. The locally protected building provides a worthy place for intellectual and material cultural values, which are constantly thriving with donations from the population. Since 2001 it has been a museum institution of public interest.
