56-os Múzeum

In the middle of nowhere on a random Road. Very good Museum on the Hungarian Revolution, we were given a Tour by two young Students who were very informed on all aspects of the revolutionary causes and leadership without having to 'read' from a paper prompt. So if you can find it or see it in passing, stop and have a tour well worth the time taken.

Memorial place for the '56s wars victims and heros.

It was a great experience to visit the memorial museum founded by Gergely Pongrácz - the commander-in-chief of Corvin köz. It is the only 56 museum in the country. The successive rows of exhibitions with original objects and relics follow one another. A unique special collection of photographs and works of fine art. It also has indoor and outdoor exhibition space. The chapel dedicated to the memory of the martyrs provides an opportunity for intimate contemplation.

Nice museum with lots of information and material about the 1956 uprising. Unfortunately rather disinterested student than guide.
