If I could give this place a "0", I would. I booked a 3 night stay on April, 12, 2020 checking in July, 31, 2020. I had to pay the entire 3 night stay up front with was $294.66 in US Dollars. I received the confirmation (which I still have) and it clearly showed on the confirmation that as long as I cancelled the room within 14 days that I would receive my money back. I sent an email notice on July, 1, 2020 (30 days in advance) stating that I would need to cancel the room and would need my money back. Living in the USA, it was obvious that I couldn't leave my country or go anywhere in Europe due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Everyone in the world knew this. I sent emails the following week and two weeks before with no response. I finally called on the phone and Andras told me that I was not entitled to a refund because the dates I chose were blocked out from refunds. I said the confirmation email (which I still have) clearly shows that I had up to 14 days to cancel for a full refund. I explained that our entire Europe trip was cancelled due to the pandemic and everyone else was happy to give me a refund. I even received a refund from the Eiffel Tower for tickets and they never give refunds. Everyone understood the situation and returned out money. Even one airlines gave me my money back. But Andras said he was would talk to other owners about my refund. Several more weeks go by and no response email or money back. I get Andras back on the phone and he said his mother was battling cancer and passed away and that his bank couldn't refund the money to my credit card due to a technical problem from the pandemic. I patiently waited about a month to reach back out. I have never received another response and I have sent double digit emails since July 1, 2020 and it is now January 15, 2021. It's obvious that Butterfly has no intention of returning my money. Avoid booking at this place at all costs! They are thieves and liars!

Everything was perfect! Owner is so friendly and helpful. The view from room is amazing! Breakfast is tasty... Location in a middle of importants parts. I recommend it and cannot wait to visit it again .

Great place to stay. Secure and easy to access city centre

Excellent place beside the Danube river. One can have an amazing time with a great view from this B&B. The host is an amazing person that makes the place even warmer. The B&B is situated just beside the metro station. On top of all, the accommodation comes at a very reasonable price. Happy staying at Butterfly Home. Cheers.

It was easy to find, the breakfast was excellent and the beds are comfy. Andras was super helpful and friendly, helped us with many things. If we come back to Budapest I will definitely try to get a room from him again.
