Sípark Mátraszentistván

I have been in the ski-park before, some 3 years ago. From that time I had some mixed memories; nice, beautiful place, with nice tracks, yet, my skis suffered a little from stones scattered over the surface of the snow. Not this year. 🙂 The weather was a perfect one to go out and have some skiing. The slopes around were already showing the coming spring, yet the ski-park had a massive, well-put bed of ice, with really nice artificial snow on the top. It really draws praise to the guys making it possible, the snow machines most probably had been working all night before, so that the fans of winter could get a really nice opportunity to ski all day long. Literally. Started in the morning, and finishing with the last lift up having a sandwich-break only, the tracks were in a really good shape all day long. In the beginning of March! Very well done! They say it will be open till the end of March. Maybe will go back. 🙂 Try it, you will like the place. There is a blue, a red and a black slope, really good for a day of skiing. Very friendly and competent staff! So, go, Matraszentistvan! 🙂

You can book the lift one day in advance. Renting the equipment was awfull I spend more than an hour doing the line. I lost half of the day in that line. Otherwise it was good a lot of snow.

One rund data. Rest value is basically just a waiting for the ski lift. Disappoiting.
