Maszek - az utcabár | bár & étterem

Was in Debrecen for 2 weeks on business and this was my favourite place to come and wind down after a long day. Food is full of flavour and exceptionally well presented. They have a lovely wine selection as well. Staff is very friendly and when I came in a second time (ended up eating there quite a few times) they always said hello and made polite conversation and remembered the wine I liked from the night before. Would recommend this place 110%!

Went in for a cocktail and stayed for dinner! The cocktails were amazing followed by some amazing food! Highly recommend!

Wouldn’t reccommend. We sat down got the menu and ordered a beer. The menu had many delicious options. We all chose from the menu. When we ordered it turned out they had none of these... in fact they only had 3...2 pasta’s and fish and chips. We chose the fish and chips with onion & pickle relish. We got it served; the onion & pickle relish was also out of stock.. we paid 10 euro’s for a bag of lays chips/crisps with a Breaded cod straight out of the freezer. The glasses had chips of glass missing. The staff was also unfriendly. We decided this didn’t deserve a 10 procent tip. Surprise surprise; they already added the tip on the bill... this place uses cheap tricks to get money from customers. Only upside is the interior of upper floor; very well done. But a marriage with a pretty person doesn’t work if the inside is rotten to the core.

Was in town for a business trip and we went to Maszek with a few colleagues. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the food was tasty and a pretty big serving size, I couldn't finish mine (parmesan chicken with sweet potato fries). The beverage selection is also very nice, plenty of beers or wine to choose from. Great place, easy to access location, definitely worth checking out.
