Great place to visually introduce children to history and culture. Everyone will find something to their liking here. I liked the hall where M. Munkaci was represented, as well as the national Hungarian traditional crafts.

As a history lover, everywhere I go, I try to visit a local museum, getting to know the past as well as the past. Unfortunately, the Hungarian collections are poor compared to the Western countries, and the exhibitors are poorly managed, so I did not expect much from this museum. We went first and foremost because of Munkácsy's pictures, and then we had better experiences. The staff's attitude towards the visitors, the kindness and the information were pleasantly surprised. The cleanliness, the tidiness in the service areas had already made me feel good, but the real experience was the exhibitions. I have not come across such well-organized museum exhibitions in our small country yet. Each unit captures completely different topics so everyone can find something to their liking. Each is extremely enjoyable in visual, understandable, and thematic terms. Written reviews included with the articles are brief and concise, so they can be understood by children or those who are less interested in the subject. The museum could survive in the world from the Munkácsy trilogy, but it is not enough. (or perhaps this miracle inspires even more) I sincerely congratulate the museum staff for the excellent work they have put together in exhibitions.

Greatly compiled exhibition material, we felt very good, and besides, we also gained new knowledge. It is definitely not only worth accessing Munkácsy's pictures. We can meet Egyptian culture, the appearance of death and mourning in the past, the Samurai world, and the hard-working workshops of guilds. They are mostly kind and helpful tour guides and guardians who are willing to answer any questions. We had an impressive experience, thank you very much.

The collection of the museum presents the connection points of Debrecen and Hungarian literature in the framework of a permanent exhibition from the end of the 18th century, ie the age of the poet Mihály Csokonai Vitéz from Debrecen. The foundations of the extremely rich collection were laid by the Csokonai Circle, founded in the city in 1890, and the literary history material of the city museum. Nearly 50,000 objects, documents and works of art form the material of the collection, it also contains works of fine art, as well as the documents of the Sickle Youth Movement (1928-1934) in Czechoslovakia. Debrecen's literary collection is one of the richest in rural museums in Hungary.

Perfect family program. Permanent appointments can be viewed in a good hour. The Workshop Trilogy speaks for itself.
