On August 2, 1849, in the battle of Debrecen, the 1st Corps of the Hungarian Army and the Infantry Division of János Korponay fought against the 2nd Corps of the Russian Tsarist Intervention Army. and III. against his corps and its 12th Infantry Division. The battle ended in a Russian victory. On the Hungarian side, Major General József Nagysándor and Colonel János Korponay led the army. The leader of the tsarist troops was General Ivan Fyodorovich Paszkevich. Pictured is Major General József Nagysándor.

The gps didn't work very well. It's a bit cryptic, and it could be nice if your environment wasn't used as a landfill. Worth checking out at least once. Many people do not even know that there are Hun-huns (Kunhals) in the Great Plain, which are supposed to be older than the Egyptian pyramids. It was also used for burials later. I think these mounds are the only surviving structure from the very old days. They were not held together by the wind, but by human hands. Unfortunately, we disassembled a lot due to construction and road construction. However, some heaps have rare and unique flora. We should appreciate it. Most have been plowed already. Hundreds still exist fortunately, but the question is how long. There are several piles around Debrecen, it is worth to see the best known ones. The nearest well kept is next to Zelemér train station.
