Nice monument but it could be cleaner, tidy, more floral throughout the park, more spectacular because there is such a big need in a big city .....

Those who love literature should visit here. You can take great photos, but you don't have to wait a lot. Nevertheless, it is beautiful and has an intrinsic value.

The plans for the Csokonai tomb were made by Pál Beregszászi, a drawing teacher at the Reformed College. The 75-glazed, 5.7-meter-high, four-sided iron pyramid was cast in the Turjamentei foundry in Uzhhorod. Ferenc Povolny (master builder from Debrecen, he designed, for example, the nine-hole stone bridge in Hortobágy) carried out the foundation. On the west side of the pyramid, “MIHÁLY CSOKONAI VITÉZ, BORN IN 1773 DEBRECZEN. WRENCHED 1805. DOMESTIC HIGH 1836. ” In the east we can read a quote from Csokonai: “- he speaks to the Muses. and over a lute. The tombstone was erected in 1836 in the former Hatvan Street Cemetery (today Dorottya Street, following "Dorottya or the Triumph of the Ladies on the Carnival" - Csokonai's cheerful epic). In 1929, when the new public cemetery was designated, they wanted to move it out of place, but the people of Debrecen vetoed the plan. The tomb was no longer disturbed, in fact the tomb was repainted and landscaped in 1938. His bond re-emerged in 2003, but enthusiastic people from Debrecen and public figures stood by Csokonai again.

It is near the old cemetery, near TESCO. I always get married here.

Unfortunately, it would be a little untreated, but a nice park.
