Debrecen Hunyadi János Primary School

They were taught all that was needed to thrive in life. I myself became an engineer, my fellow doctor sitting on the right, an ophthalmologist, a physicist on the left. When I first saw this building, it didn’t even have a roof on it. For years, only the walls were pulled up. Back then, the plan was to have a police barracks in this place. Then in 1956 everything changed, the completion of the building began. At the beginning of the 1957 and school year, the year did not start with us here, but on Mikes Kelemen Street. But we moved in early autumn. Flowers in the lavor, pictures in hand and lining up ... we walked over to the new school! We only used the rooms on the ground floor. Upstairs it was mainly the kolia of Árpád Tóth's students.
