The church in Csurgó started the church building movement in 1930. The ceremonial foundation stone was laid on November 24, 1935, and was consecrated on October 11, 1936. Its designer, architect Zoltán Kalmár, dreamed of a church that was well adapted to the simplified forms of modern international architecture at the time, but also with its cleanliness. It stands free in a larger area, its tower rises next to the left side of the ship. Its main entrance is at the D end of the nave, a side entrance is opened at the extension behind the tower.
