One of the best small retaurants near the city center of Budapest. Excellent quality, tasty dishes, fast and kind service, affordable prices, good portions. The menu contains traditional Hungarian dishes and some of the Jewish cuisine as well.

I will give 3 stars because the food is indeed very tasty and big portions. BUT the service is terrible...the waitress was hushing us and as tourists we were asking for food recommendation and she clearly had no patience to guide her customers. Also no sign nowhere they accept cash only (I have my doubts but ok) and if you only have cash in Euros the exchange rate is a joke and feels like they are taking advantage of you.

Amazing place with local specialties , menu is rich and quite affordable for anyone's budget. Highly recommended to visit. Advice: Exchange your money before coming to the place since paying in euros , for example , could end up you paying 20-30% more than the real bill value. They don't charge the service fee (15%) , like many places in Budapest, so make sure you leave a nice tip if you are happy with your service. 😉 We enjoyed pretty much, so for sure we will be visiting the place in the near future again.
