Dr. Barath is the best.
I visited Dr. Barath exactly a year ago (January 2016) and since then, it's been a complete nightmare financially (over $10,000 of repair work), physically and emotionally. My initial appointment was for an implant on #29. Though this is an English-speaking dentistry, he does not speak English. When I arrived for a consultation with my Hungarian husband who translated the conversation, Dr. Barath strongly suggested that I do a bridge instead as "there wasn't enough room for an implant" and "if it was his wife, he'd recommend a bridge". I immediately trusted his recommendation for a bridge and was scheduled less than a week for the procedure.
The day of the procedure was very difficult. During the procedure, I had much sensitivity and had to ask my Hungarian husband to tell him that it was incredibly sensitive. Dr. Barath said it was "normal" and kept drilling. That night, and the nights after the procedure, were filled with excruciating pain. I'd wake up in the middle in the night screaming with pain. I had to keep taking pain killers in a timely manner to ensure that I wouldn't have a span of time with pain. During this time, I had no temporary bridge on, just some kind of powder-type coating he had put on. About a week later he forcibly placed the bridge on and it was beyond painful. Even after placing the bridge, the pain afterward for weeks was absolutely excruciating and intolerable.
When I got back to the US, I knew it was maltreated. I saw three different dentists who all agreed that his work was done poorly and symphathic for my experience. I contacted Dr. Barath and he made me sign a waiver saying I wouldn't ask for any further financial reimbursement if he reimbursed my $1000. I signed unknowingly of the future costs of his malpractice. About a month afterward, I found out that both adjacent teeth needed root canals because my sensitivity to everything (even luke-warm water) was still incredibly high and I was still unable to chew on that side of my mouth. I was also told that putting a new and more fitting bridge on would be less-preserving to the adjacent teeth that he drilled down for the bridge and restorative work (posts, crown lengthening, etc.) was critical to properly fit individual crowns on these teeth. So, with the recommendations given, and time, we decided it best to put a properly fitting implant on in on the original #29 and put individual crowns on the adjacent teeth. There was just enough room for a 'fat implant'; I was astonished that Dr. Barath never mentioned this or didn't take the time to do another xray or CT to determine this.
I've spent a total of $10,800 fixing Dr. Barath's work. My husband and I sent him a thorough e-letter, describing everything in full details WITH receipts. He replied that it wasn't his fault and that the dentists here offered "expensive treatments". As a professional, I would've expected him to have taken responsibility for his work. I am so terribly regretful for ever visiting his office, Implant Dentistry. I have advised ALL family members to never visit this office again and I want to let everyone know who is considering him for dental work to really reconsider and to find someone else with more integrity and professionalism. I would be glad to talk with you (reader), via facebook, if you have any questions at all. I hope to save anyone else from the horrific and painful treatment that I experienced with Dr. Barath.
Excellent dentist .
I don’t know what these many negative opinions are. : / I'm wondering if we're talking about a place ?? ?? We completely experienced the opposite. We traveled up from Baranya to Bp. With 2 small children, because we did not undertake what we did there. What we got there, attention, empathy, kindness ... We will never forget. We thought that only existed in fairy tales. And no! We are no longer afraid of dentistry. This was done by dr. We can thank Gábor Baráth and his team. It took a total of 3 occasions and finally put a smile on our faces.
#Imperialdental thank you :): *
We had an appointment at 1:30 p.m., at 14:00 we were still waiting to hear a regional representative arrived at the doctor with the "car papers." Of course they called in front of us, at that time I was still hoping it would be 1 minute, but at 14.15 we got up and said goodbye. If they are ignoring me for the first time then thank you very much but I am looking for a practice where I get the minimum respect as a patient. (Who, not incidentally, being a private order, pays little for the service)
