One of the few and not enough lush green parts of the Hungarian capitol. Despite the fact that nowadays' Füvészkert's size is only one third of the original, it took us 3 hours to get through the half of this representative botanical garden. Needless to get into details in connection with the amount of the various species it counts as it's size talks for itself, but to mention one the most interesting things is that you can even find some BANANA AND LEMON TREES which are not that common in this climate. Furthermore, though walking through the Kert can be a full-day activity it's quite cheap as a ticket for an adult costs 1200 HUF (~4€), and 600 HUF (~2€) for students/pensioners. Absolutely worths visiting.

Absolutely wort visiting. Bit far off from the center, but easy to reach by public transport. It’s not free, but it’s very cheap and I’m happy to pay a bit of it means better maintenance and more plants. The glass house and the area around the most beautiful part, it is actually one of the most beautiful ones I saw. The other parts need some more maintenance but I think it’s just a matter of budget, the collection it self is big and healthy. Also there are many cheap cafes around if you need a little refreshment.
