Very beautiful

Currently, most of the park ditches have a park function. Interestingly, decades earlier there were sports facilities here, skating in winter, tennis and basketball courts in other seasons. On the eastern side of the moat is the outer castle wall of the Episcopal Castle, and on the western side is a beautifully preserved "contrascarpa" whose task is to strengthen the moat. In the Middle Ages it was filled with water, thus protecting the Bishop's Castle. They also used to walk a dog here or just walk down smoothly, they are typically young. There is also a statue of Miklós Melocco Ady in the garden.

Beautiful place

Pécs is the only surviving moat to a significant extent. In addition, it is right next to the gate bastion, the Barbican, which leads directly to the Bishop's Castle, so the fortification system of the medieval town and castle can be perfectly observed here. Sometimes concerts are held in it. Occasionally there is the addition of some modern architectural "attraction," but thank God, these have never become anything so far.

Again, he could be a kid running between the two sides of the ditch. It's worth the extra points if you grin
